Community Garden Beds for Rent – 2017

Florence, WI—Are you interested in growing fresh vegetables in a raised bed with rich soil, water and fencing to exclude deer and rabbits? Then the Crossroads Community Garden may be of interest to you. The Garden is located on Woodward Avenue between Highways N and 101 in the Town of Florence. There are 18 raised planting beds 4’x 8’ and four high planting beds also 4’x 8’ that are access friendly. Planting beds may be rented for $11 each.

In addition to the planting beds, the garden offers picnic tables, composting, tool storage, a community herb garden, young children’s playground and an outdoor classroom.  There will be educational programs open to the public held at the garden throughout the growing season.

For more information, or to pre-register for a garden bed, please email or call Sabrina Leffler at the Florence County UW-Extension Office at sabrina.leffler@ces.uwex.edu or 715-528-4480 ext. 113.
